Overview
About the project
During my CHED Regional Office XII internship, I built a Laravel and React e-library that separates librarian, administrator, faculty, and student tasks. Admin and librarian routes manage books and categories; admins also manage users, programs, courses, and activity logs. Students can browse books, open course pages, and save bookmarks. Authenticated users can preview and download book files. The public deployment runs on demo content.
The need
A library needs both a manageable catalog for staff and a way for readers to find materials tied to their courses.
What I built
I connected searchable book records and course links to role-protected routes. Uploads accept PDF or EPUB files and optional cover images; the storage service uses local files by default and can be configured for Azure.
